கடல் விற்பனைக்கு / மலையாளத்தில் ஸ்ரீதேவி நாயர்

கன்னியாகுமரிக்கு சென்றபோது நான்
ஒரு கடலை கண்டேன் , அதை
திருடி நான் என் வீட்டுக்கு கொண்டு வந்தேன்
என் நண்பி கெட்டாள்:
எந்த வகையான கடல் அது
சோக கடலா ?
பழிவாங்கும் கடலா
அல்லது
கட்டிலில் இருக்கும் கடலா ?
நான் சொன்னேன் :
என் கடல் என்னுள் இருக்கும்
பெண் எனும் கடல்
ஒரு பெண்ணை வீட்டில் அடைக்க முடியுமா
அவள் மறுபடியும் கெட்டாள் :
வீட்டில் இருக்கும் பெண் ஒரு பகுதியே
முழுமையான பெண் வேறெங்கோ இருக்கிறாள்
நான் பார்த்த முழுமையான பெண்ணை நான் கொணர்ந்தேன்
ஆனால் அந்த பெண் கடலாக இருந்தால் அவ்வளவே
இந்த பெண் கடல் என்ன செய்யும் ?
இது படுக்கை அறையில் அடைப்படாது
பூஜை அறையில் .....
உப்பரிகையில் .........
வெராண்டாவில் ...............
அல்லது
மனதில் ?
நாம் சென்று கடைவீதியில் பார்க்கலாம் !!
Note:
The silence and reverberations of the words used in the poem, are deep and mostly silent like the sea; like sea the poem contains all - pearls, sharks,fishes,corals,sunken ships of the past,rays of bright sun penetrating the surface and reaching the deep waters. The words unsaid, give more meanings to the poem; sea and woman's mind are deep unfathomable by any ordinary humans............. containing the 'uncontainable' .............. trying to contain the sea is fruitless and foolish. Who can market the ' unmarketable' phenomenon and who under the sun could buy the 'unbuyable' infinity. Going to the market place is a wasteful endeavour............... but why the last line ? ................. is only to test the brilliance of the readers? .................. try to delve deep into your mind to perceive a part of the whole................. the whole sea is immeasurable and the deepness is incomprehensible to human mind..................and the sea can not be bought or sold in the market place............... why readers................. is it correct? Reflections of the reflections of the mind ........... never ending ................
